A study was carried out across the user journey and we found out that the inability to understand and register tire information is the key deterrent to online purchases. Online portals ask users to fill in fitment details that laymen are not aware of, thus confusing users and resulting in a loss of motivation to proceed with the purchase – which effectively means the loss of a prospect. So, there was a need to build a generic product to solve this business problem.

Solution

Tire Size Helper - Tire Size Recognition- It is an AI product where the user just has to capture a picture of the tire using the phone cameras. As soon as the user captures and uploads the picture on the website using his/her phone, our OCR (Optical Character Recognition) model would automatically extract and label all the key tire information necessary such as dimensions, markings, and specifications using computer vision methodologies like OCR and based on the extractions, recommend the appropriate tire to the customer using a generic recommendation engine.

Tire Size Helper - Tire Size Recognition’s point-and-shoot method of data upload allows for extraordinary ease of use for the customer. Integrated with the web application, the customer receives an AI-based tire recommendation best suited for their requirement right on their screens without having to hassle over specific details.
